COVID-19 Class 1 and 2 Risk Assessment

Welcome to Class 2!

Class 2 consists of Year 1 and Year 2. Our teacher is Mrs. Robinson, and we are supported by Miss Brookes. Our learning is topic based around a whole school theme. We have a very spacious classroom with a painting area, a continuous provision room with exciting role play areas and a designated area for outdoor learning. Every week we select two children to be our ‘helping hands’; they help to organise the classroom and carry out many important tasks.

We start our day by sharing an activity with our parent or carer, then throughout the morning we have phonics (Y1), Spelling (Y2), English, Collective Worship and Maths. We begin our afternoon with an energetic ‘wake and shake’ session or calming Yoga followed by one of the foundation subjects. We love to spend time in the beautiful school grounds, whether in the wildlife area, the allotment or the field itself and have many opportunities to do this during play time and when we take our learning outside! We have time at the end of the day to share special news and enjoy a story.
