Class 4

COVID-19 Class 4 Risk Assessment

Welcome to the Class 4!  We are Years 5 and 6 and our teacher is Miss Horne.

Class 4’s creative curriculum lessons are rooted in our whole school, joint, learning themes which change termly and are closely linked to our focus Christian Value and British Value that we study alongside.

Building upon the learning and positive attitudes towards learning from previous years, we strive to work on our previous best. We are always looking for ways to complete all aspects of our school work to a very high standard and are not afraid to pause for reflection to re-edit and further improve.

Each morning we are taught Spelling, English and Maths and we enjoy the range of teaching methods offered to us which enable us to learn in a variety of ways.  Afternoons for Class 4 consist of our Science, RE and foundation lessons which are for the most part, taught creatively through a topic which the whole school shares.

In the run up to the Statutory Assessments for Year 6 (SATs) in May each year, we have weekly booster sessions beginning in the Spring term this enables us to receive extra help and support ready to show off all the knowledge and skills we have learned during our time at school.

Being the oldest in school, we train to be Young Leaders, whereby we plan and create activities for younger children to enjoy at lunch time.  We enjoy positions of responsibility and are keen to provide opportunities for the younger children in school to be happy and have fun.
