Mrs. S. Wymer – Foundation Governor; I have worked in education for all of my career as a class teacher, headteacher and then Senco (Special educational needs co-ordinator) but retired a few years early to care for a relative with advanced dementia. Released now from caring duties, I enjoy reading, swimming and walking my dogs. I began to volunteer in one school one morning a week. This then became two schools and now as Benefice Schools Minister, I work in three schools and lead Collective worship in these three schools as well.

As a member of St Mary’s church and with close contact with members of St John’s, I am involved in our pastoral and Music teams, Messy Church at Flookburgh and keeping up to date the schools’ noticeboards in each of the churches attached to my schools. I hope that my faith and my concern for our children’s education will promote and continue the excellent work of the staff at Flookburgh school and extend church and school links.
