Higher Level Teaching Assistant Required

•  Fixed-term, in the first instance, 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
•  Single Status PCD8 (A) £27,852 per annum pro-rata, term-time only
•  Required for September 2023

Flookburgh CE Primary School is a friendly, warm and welcoming village school with a dedicated and highly motivated staff team. We wish to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and skilled Higher-Level Teaching Assistant with previous experience of the Primary age-range to support children throughout the school, on a 1:1 basis as part of their EHCP and to supervise whole classes unaccompanied to cover teachers’ PPA from September 2023. Applicants for this role will hold either the HLTA qualification or QTS. (Those applicants who hold QTS may see this as an opportunity to develop their range of skills and experience)

The successful candidates will:

•  Hold an NVQ Level 4 or equivalents and/or experienced in the relevant work area
•  Have high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to maintaining high standards and excellent progress
•  Have experience of leading whole classes in an HLTA or teaching role
•  Support and understand our Christian ethos and vision
•  Demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills
•  Is flexible, motivated and willing to participate in the wider life of the school
•  Support the inclusive ethos of our school.
•  Be able to work as part of our effective and committed team demonstrating a keen sense of humour and fun!
